Charitable Activities
Harmony Foundation, Inc. is the Society's official charity. Donations made to the Foundation generally fund special projects of the Barbershop Harmony Society, including Directors College scholarships, Harmony Explosion Camps, and Heritage Hall Museum of Barbershop Harmony.
Our Local Charity
The Charleston Barbershop Chorus donates sizeable amounts of money and time, and numerous performances to local charitable activities. Our chosen local charity is Music Therapy for Special Needs Children at James Island Elementary School.
Recent Donation
The Charleston Barbershop Chorus recently donated $1000 to the James Island Elementary Music Therapy class. The instructors of the class use music as a therapeutic intervention for persons who have special needs.

The Charleston Barbershop Chorus is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) Tax-Exempt Organization. For many income tax situations, a gift to the Charleston Barbershop Chorus may be considered a charitable deduction.
